THE AFRICAN PUBLISHER PUBLISHING SERVICE
Welcome to the African Publisher Publishing Service. We enable authors to become published, and have their work available for sale, in a quick and economical way. We produce printed books using a Print On Demand (POD) method and we convert authors manuscripts into self-extracting Ebooks which can be purchased and downloaded from our website. Our service is established and has proven itself in Europe and in the America's. The effect on traditional publishing has changed the industry. Our service enables an Author to publish their work faster, more economically, and with greater freedom, than was previously possible.
OUR SERVICE
We offer authors a Print On Demand (POD) and eBook production and publishing service. This allows internet clients to order, pay for, and download an authors work in eBook format from the African Publisher website. We also set-up the clients book with a printer from where they can order there books at cost, and distribute them to their clients. The result of the African Publisher service is that an author does not have to pay for the pre-printing of thousands of copies which may or may not be sold. Our service removes the frustration and problems associated with trying to publish your manuscript. In less than a month from us receiving your completed manuscript, we can have the eBook for sale in our online BookShop, and you will have the first physical copies on the your desk. All you need to do is provide us with the final document that you want published, and we get it done, which allows you to concentrate on promoting your book.
With our Internet service we can create and setup a website and Blog from which the author can market their work, and take orders for their work.
TRADITIONAL PUBLISHING AND OUR SERVICE
With traditional publishing, the publisher took the manuscript in its raw form, created the final product, printed it, and promoted it. Due to the risk and expense involved, traditional publishers only accept a limited number of manuscripts, which they believed would sell well. The process to get a book to the point of sale can take up to a year. In addition, traditional publishing contracts have a reputation of being in the publishers favour, this is primarily because the publisher is carrying the risk and covering the associated costs. The author generally receives a royalty of between 4 and 12% of the retail price of their book and signs over all or most of their rights to the book.
At African Publisher, the Author is responsible for the preparation of their work. We publish the manuscript we receive and will have it available for sale on the Internet within a month of receiving the manuscript. The author will recieve 100% of the gross margin of the book, and 50% of the selling price of an ebook, and the author retains all the rights to their work.
We do recommend that you have your book professionally edited before you print it, and we can supply these services or recommend the services of other professionals who provide this service.
