Debbie further qualified in hypnotherapy in the fields of Ego state and Eriksonian hypnotherapy and medical hypnoanalysis .  She also studied in the fields of EMDR(eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) as well as EMI( eye movement integration ).  Debbie also has an interest in complementary body therapy healing techniques as well as sound and movement therapies. She runs workshops  to balance the male and female , left and right brain hemispheres in nature .

The book outlines a hypnotherapeutic approach whereby the client tells the story of Little Red Riding Hood under hypnosis or using EMDR.  Each story is different and relevant to the unconscious program or way of coping, defining and dealing with reality.  By desensitizing and reprocessing the story, a workable model becomes available  which may be applied to solve and understand many life dilemma's and difficulties.  A projective drawing technique is incorporated which has both projective and therapeutic relevance.

The main themes addressed throughout the book include ; balancing of the male and female principles , reparenting,  future vs past orientation and victim vs mastery.  The technique includes a discussion of how to transmute anger from being destructive to that of constructive, as well as the corelation between guilt and anger on an unconscious level.  Dream work as well as self hypnosis or therapy are possibilities which are explored in order to facilitate and continue management of the process.
